A one-step process
An investment of at least USD $350,000 grants eligibility for permanent residency. The amount must remain invested for at least 5 years.

Regular Process
Two-step process
The Panama Reforestation Visa grants residency with a lower investment—USD $100,000 over 5 to 8 years. It starts with a 2-year provisional permit, and you may invest through a company.
Provisional Residency
Processing Time: Typically 6 months.

Note:
You must hold your reforestation investment for 5 years after residency and submit yearly proof to immigration. In addition, plan for between 8 and 10 years of maintenance and administrative costs.
