FAQs about Panama Travel Passport

The Panama Travel Passport is part of the Rentista Visa. It’s similar to a marine/diplomatic passport but does NOT grant you Panamanian citizenship. However, it looks like a regular Panamanian passport, indicating that you’re a Chinese citizen.

This passport is internationally valid and recognized like any other Panamanian passport. It enables you to visit locations where Panamanians require no visa, such as Germany, UK, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Italy, and more.

Since the Panama Travel Passport does NOT confer you citizenship, it creates NO conflicts with your Chinese Citizenship or your Chinese passport. The Panama Travel Passport is valid for the duration of the Certificate of Deposit (CD).

Once you obtain Panamanian Citizenship, you are eligible to obtain a regular Panamanian passport. At that point, you can close the CD because the Traveler Passport is no longer required.
